這是一則很有意思的故事……
有一個流浪漢，走進寺廟，看到菩薩坐在蓮花臺上眾人膜拜，非常羡慕。
流浪漢：我可以和你換一下嗎？
菩薩：只要你不開口。
流浪漢坐上了蓮花台。
他的眼前整天嘈雜紛亂，要求者眾多。他始終忍著沒開口。
一日，來了個富翁。
富翁：求菩薩賜給我美德。
磕頭，起身，他的錢包掉在了地下。
流浪漢剛想開口提醒，他想起了菩薩的話。
富翁走後，來的是個窮人。
窮人：求菩薩賜給我金錢。家裡人病重，急需錢啊。磕頭，起身，他看到了一個錢包掉在了地下。|
窮人：菩薩真顯靈了。他拿起錢包就走。
流浪漢想開口說不是顯靈，那是人家丟的東西；可他想起了菩薩的話。
這時，進來了一個漁民。
漁民：求菩薩賜我安全，出海沒有風浪。磕頭，起身，他剛要走，卻被又進來的富翁揪住。
為了錢包，兩人扭打起來。
富翁認定是漁民揀走了錢包，而漁民覺得受了冤枉無法容忍。
流浪漢再也看不下去了，他大喊一聲：“住手！”把一切真相告訴了他們。
一場糾紛平息了……。
“你覺得這樣很正確嗎？”
菩薩說：“你還是去做流浪漢吧。你開口以為自己很公道，但是，窮人因此沒有得到那筆救命錢；富人沒有修來好德行，漁夫出海趕上了風浪葬身海底。要是你不開口，窮人家的命有救了；富人損失了一點錢但幫了別人、積了德；而漁夫因為糾纏無法上船，躲過了風雨，至今還活著。”
流浪漢默默離開了寺廟……
世上有許多事情，該怎樣，就怎樣。等待它順其自然的發生，結果會更好。
可面對現實的時候，有誰又知道，事物本身該有的結果是什麼樣子呢？
有時，
靜觀其變，是一種能力！
順其自然，是一種幸福！

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
