2020年初，遠嫁至印尼的女明星白嘉莉搬回台北，她不是買房子住，而是住飯店，她選擇的是台北市信義計畫區的君悅酒店。
白嘉莉說，飯店的服務很好，朋友們來看很方便，不需要特別找人打掃。
71歲的她，算她再活30年到101歲好了，每年約220萬元的飯店住宿費用，30 年總計 6600萬元，大約就是一戶台北市大安、信義區60坪住宅目前的房價。
把房子賣掉住進飯店養老，從此不用花錢整修房子以及負擔稅費，每天有專人整理打掃，衣服有人換洗，早餐不用再動手，垃圾不用每天在路上擠著等垃圾車，健身房與游泳池不必額外付費，醫院不太遠，網路、水電、瓦斯、有線電視費用全包。
房間有問題，維修立刻叫上門，從此不用擔心水電叫不到；碰到颱風地震等天災，需要付錢重建的不再會是你；想出國旅行隨時有巴士機場送接；想按摩直接叫客房服務；朋友拜訪直接樓下豪華大廳見，既方便又有面子。
這裡的地段比市面上所有的養老院選擇都好，價錢又遠比同等級服務的養老院便宜，很多人努力工作一輩子還房貸，這不就是最完美的退休生活？
