竹子生長紮根理論

某位朋農民在自家承包的荒山溝里，撒下了一片毛竹種子，這是他到南方打工時，一位朋友贈送的。
這名在北方長大的農民沒有毛竹種植經驗，當種子撒下後，僅有一粒成活。
雖然只躥出一棵毛竹苗，但這位農民還是欣喜異常。
他經常給它澆水、施肥。一天、兩天，一月、兩月……
但令這位農民失望的是，當周圍的蒿草、灌木從小苗長到一米多高時，毛竹苗還是一動不動。
第二年、第三年……雖然雨水充沛、光照充足，但那棵毛竹苗還是一動不動。
第六年，在一場春雨過後，這位農民來到自家承包的山溝里看一看。
他突然發現有一棵1米多高的毛竹拔地而起。
他非常奇怪，為什麼是過了5年毛竹才開始生長?
更奇怪的是，一個月後，昔日的荒山溝變成了一座毛竹園。
這位農民驚詫之餘，拿著鐵鏟挖了挖山溝的土地。他發現毛竹的地下鞭莖已經遍及整個山溝。原來，在過去的5年裡，雖然地表上看不到毛竹苗生長的跡象，但土壤里，它的根系卻在不停地壯大和蔓延。
——-這就是大自然神奇的「竹子生長紮根理論」。
沉默無聞的毛竹，在五年里看上去絲毫不長，它又在做什麼呢？
竹子之所以三、五年不長高，是因為那幾年間，它是以沈默的方式生長，專心的發展它向下的根系，讓根系延展開十米多寬度，伸入到地下深處近五米，目的是為了侵占其它植物的根系空間，將有限資源以壟斷方式占為己有。
沉默無聞的毛竹，只等待屬於他的那個雨季，然後獨自猛長，以每天1.8米的速度向上急竄15天，最後長到28米，成為竹林中的身高冠軍。
在那十五天裡，處在它周圍方圓十米內的其它植物停止了生長，眼巴巴看著它以每天近兩米的速度向上竄，所以無論是在山上還是其他地方，我們很少看到竹子有枯死的。
——-這就是大自然神奇的「竹子生長紮根理論」。
