惟雯說故事
這件事發生在一個法國家庭。
一天，孩子放學後，在客廳玩球，忽然，籃球打落書架上的一個花瓶，“咚”的一聲，花瓶重重地摔到地板上，瓶口摔掉一大塊。
這不是擺設品，而是祖上傳下來的波旁王朝時期的古董。
孩子慌忙把碎片用膠水粘起來，膽戰心驚地放回原位。
當天晚上，母親發現花瓶有些“變化”。
吃晚餐時，她問孩子：“是不是你打碎了花瓶？”
孩子靈機一動，說：“一隻野貓從窗外跳進來，怎麼也趕不走，它在客廳上躥下跳，最後碰倒架子上的花瓶。”
母親很清楚，孩子在撒謊，因為每天上班前，她會把窗戶一扇扇關好，下班回來再打開。
母親不動聲色地說：“是我疏忽了，沒有關好窗戶。”
就寢前，孩子在床上發現一張便條，原來是母親讓他馬上到書房去。
看到孩子忐忑不安地推門進來，母親從抽屜裡拿出一個盒子，把其中一塊巧克力遞給孩子：“這塊巧克力獎品給你，因為你運用神奇的想像力，杜撰出一隻會開窗戶的貓，以後，你一定可以寫出好看的偵探小說。”
接著，她又在孩子手上放了一塊巧克力：“這塊巧克力獎品也給你。因為你有傑出的修復能力，雖然用的是膠水，但是，裂縫粘合得幾乎完美無缺。不過，這是修復紙質物品的，修復花瓶不僅需要黏力更強的膠水，而且需要更高的專業技術。明天，我們把花瓶拿到藝術家那裡，看看他們是怎樣使一件工藝品完好如初的。”
母親又拿起第三塊巧克力，說：“最後一塊巧克力，代表我對你深深的歉意，作為母親，我不應該把花瓶放在容易摔落的地方，尤其是家中有個熱衷體育的男孩子。希望你沒有被砸到或者嚇到。”
“媽媽，我……”
以後，這個孩子再也沒有撒過一次謊，每當他想撒謊時，三塊巧克力就會浮現在眼前。
有時候，寬容和愛，比懲罰更能讓我們的孩子健康成長，家長們一定要學習。
