有一次愛因斯坦出席了為他舉辦的正式宴會，
男賓都打領帶，女賓都穿裸肩的禮服。
他的太太因感冒未曾參加……
當愛因斯坦回家，他的太太就急忙詢問宴會的情形。
於是，愛因斯坦告訴她，今晚有哪些著名的科學家出席。
但他太太打斷他的話，問：「不要管那些，你只要告訴我宴會的太太們穿的什麼衣服？」
「那我可真的不知道勒？」愛因斯坦認真地回答，「從桌子以上的部分看，她們沒有穿什麼東西。而在桌子以下的那部分，我可不敢偷看！」
