一個九歲的小學生發現三年級的數學實在是他這一生中最難的功課。
舉凡家教、同學、CD教學片、教科書….，但都沒用。
最後父母在好友的建議下決定把孩子轉進私立小學，不是普通的私立小學，而是一所天主教學校的私立小學。
開學的第一天來臨了，小傢伙開始向著浩大的陌生世界冒險。
那天放學回來後，他走過父母親面前，逕自回房把門關起來。
辛苦用功兩個小時，出來吃個飯就又直接回到樓上，認真的做功課直到就寢。
這樣的模式一天接著一天，直到第一次段考發成績單。
那天，這孩子走進家門，把信封丟在餐桌上，就逕自回房做功課。
他父母親打開成績單，讓他們驚奇的是數學成績居然是A。
他們欣喜萬分地衝上兒子的房間，為他的進步激動不已。
「是那些修女嗎？」爸爸問。
「不是。」兒子回答。
「是課前的禱告嗎？」媽媽問。
「不是。」
「是教科書、老師、還是課程安排？」爸爸問。
「不，都不是。」
「喔！那麼，是什麼原因呢？」媽媽問。
兒子回答
……………
「進學校的第一天，我就看見有一個人被釘死在加號上面，我一看就知道……媽的……他們是玩真的。」
