惟雯說故事
龍山的善國寺有兩個和尚：悟空和悟了。
一開始他們每天都出去化緣，後來就只有悟空天天出去化緣了。
原來，悟了發現龍山下的緣十分好化，隨便到山下走走，就能化到很多，悟了就把化來的錢買很多米、麵等生活必需品存放著，其餘的時間就在寺廟裏睡懶覺。
悟空就勸悟了，讓他不要虛度時光，要出去化緣。
悟了聽了很煩，說：「出家人豈可太貪？有吃的就行。你看我有這麽多的糧食，足可以讓我吃上半月，何必出去奔波勞累？」
悟空念了聲阿彌陀佛，說：「師弟，你化了這麽多年緣，還沒有參悟到化緣的妙處和真諦啊？」
悟了聽了，就諷刺悟空，說：「師兄，你倒是日出而出，日落而歸，可你空手而去，空手而回，你化的緣呢？」
悟空說：「我化的緣在心裏。緣自心來，緣也要由心去。」
悟了聽得一頭霧水，說：「不明白、不明白。」
後來，悟了化的錢物越來越少了。
這讓悟了很苦惱，原來化一次緣可以吃上半月，現在只可吃上幾天。
但悟空依舊天天日出而出，日落而歸，空手而去，空手而回，但悟空天天都面帶微笑。
悟了想挖苦師兄，說：「師兄，你今天收獲如何？」
悟空說：「收獲多多。」
悟了說：「收獲在哪裏？」
悟空說：「在人間裏、在人心裏。」
悟了感覺自己一時很難參悟師兄的話，決定明天一起跟悟空去化緣。
悟了說：「師兄，我悟性太差，我想明天跟你去化一次緣。」
悟空點頭同意。
次日，悟了要跟悟空去化緣了，悟了又拿了那個他出去化緣用的布袋。
悟空說：「師弟，放下布袋吧。」
悟了說：「為何？」
悟空說：「你這布袋裏裝滿私欲貪婪，拿出去，是化不來最好的緣的。」
悟了說：「那我們把化來的東西裝哪兒？」
悟空說：「人心裏。人心無所不容。」
就這樣，悟空和悟了就上路了。悟了跟悟空每到一處，就會有很多人認出悟空。
悟空還沒來得及說話，他們就主動拿出東西給悟空。
有的還說，幸虧悟空大師上次施捨，才使我們渡過難關。
悟空大師的大恩大德，我們沒齒難忘啊！
悟了在心裏想：「不讓我拿布袋，看你一會把東西往哪裏擱。」
他們繼續往前走，他們化的緣也越來越多。
悟了看到今天收獲不少，滿懷欣喜。
恰在這時候，從遠處走來一個農夫，懷裏還抱著一個孩子，邊走邊哭。原來農夫的孩子得了重病，他拿不出錢來給孩子看病。
悟空就走過去，把化來的財物全部給了農夫。
他們繼續前行，除了溫飽外，他們一路化了就捨，捨了再化。
悟空問悟了：「師弟，跟我出來你化到了什麽？」
悟了苦笑。
悟空說：「師弟，你只知道緣來之福，而不懂得緣去之福。看天地間，自然萬物為何如此美麗，天地萬物都在循環啊。師弟，風水、日夜、四季，哪一樣不是在循環？光知道緣來之福的人，那只是片刻的歡愉，時間久了，就是一池死水。我們之間的區別就是，你把化來之物放在了充滿私欲貪婪的布袋裏，我則把化來之物放在人心裏循環，讓善良和愛在人間、在人們的心裏循環。」
悟了聽到這裏，低下了頭。
悟空念了聲，阿彌陀佛。
