從前，有個國王要甄選宰相，他派人在全國各地張貼皇榜、招告天下。
當時天下的有志之士聞訊後，都紛紛來到了京都比試。
甄選當天，國王把他們帶到一個糧倉裡。
大家面面相覷，不知他葫蘆裡賣的是什麼藥？
國王趁大家不注意時，從懷裡掏出一顆夜明珠，把它扔在了堆積如山的穀子裡：「你們誰能把它找出來，就讓誰當宰相。」
大家七手八腳，在裡面爭先恐後地找了起來。
但由於人多手雜，他們幾乎把糧倉翻了個一遍，一直找到晚上也一無所獲。
第二天早晨，正當他們準備再來尋找的時候，聽到了一個消息：夜明珠已經找到，宰相人選已經確定了。
大家十分奇怪，是誰這麼幸運，把夜明珠找到了呢？
原來就是糧倉的守門人。
當昨天大家散去後，這位守門人一直在糧倉門口守著。
當夜幕低垂，夜明珠幽幽的光亮就從穀堆裡透出來，他直接向那光亮走過去，輕而易舉就把它扒了出來。
幸福有時也像那顆夜明珠，來得那麼容易。
天時到了，有時你想拒絕幸福，還真不容易。
有時，決定人生輸贏的，絕對不會僅僅是運氣！
