有一位射箭技術相當好的人來到鎮上展示他的才華。
他是一位很不可思議的神射手，一箭接一箭，都正中靶心。
但在群眾後面站了一個人，他並沒有喝采。
他只說道：「哦，這只是熟能生巧罷了」！
當然，這位神射手自視甚高，不喜歡「這只是熟能生巧罷了！」這樣的評語，他期望得到讚美，不喜歡這樣的評語。
他相當反感，於是走向那個人說：「你是什麼意思？只是熟能生巧罷了？你能夠射得像我這麼精準嗎？」
那人說：「沒辦法，不過讓我給你看個東西」。
