「孝」字怎麼寫？

讀到博士，連「孝」字都不會寫：
一位退休教授養出8個博士，92歲被子女棄養在老人院，渾身尿騷、長褥瘡
冬天飄雨的台北縣八里，空氣中始終是潮濕的味道，又濕又冷的天氣。
我被主管派來採訪安養中心的發言人，因為這裡有個92歲的老人家，在最近這8個月來，子女沒有代繳費用。
安養中心發言人告訴我：
她聯繫了老人在美國的8名子女，有的沒接電話；有的則說，老父親在台灣的生活費用，都是由住在德州達拉斯的大哥負責，「去找我大哥」，就掛了電話。
安養中心「免費」照顧老人8個月，舉凡牛奶、尿布、鼻胃管餵食、餵藥……一切生活所需，全照應。
「我們這裡還要照顧其他老人，大家都有付錢，唯獨這位老人，已經8個月了，家屬都沒付費」。
安養中心發言人帶我去老人的房間。
門一打開，霉味及尿騷味，撲鼻而來。老人神智不清、長期臥病在床，已經長了褥瘡，從濃濃的尿騷味研判，尿布應該一整天都沒換。
昏睡中的老人，頭上戴著脫了線的毛線帽，孱弱的身軀蜷曲在棉被裡。
我摸了摸他的棉被，不知道是空氣潮濕、還是棉被已經被尿濕沒有更換，這樣嚴寒的冬天，一條濕棉被，怎麼蓋都是冷。
安養中心選擇主動通知媒體採訪，希望藉由傳播報導的力量，讓老人的8名子女能夠「良心」發現，趕緊跟安養中心聯繫付錢。
「我們沒辦法這樣免費照顧下去，這是我們的最後通牒，從現在起一個月內，子女再不付錢，我們拒收這位老人」。
發言人話講得重，心卻是軟的。
她告訴我這位老人的家庭背景。
老人家是大學教授退休，妻子早逝，他獨自拉拔8名子女長大，8個孩子也很爭氣，全在美國拿到博士學位並且在美國成家立業。
老人很以這8個孩子為榮。
老人的大兒子要創業，老爸爸把退休金匯給了這個大兒子；看到大哥拿了老爸的錢，其他子女接著找理由跟老爸要錢。
老人家把財產都給了子女，身體出狀況後，大兒子回台灣一看，決定把老父親送到安養中心。
剛開始的幾年，安養中心還有收到美國匯來的錢，但是就在採訪的那一年，安養中心怎麼打電話，都聯繫不到老人的大兒子。
輾轉打給其他子女們，沒有人願意出錢，全都推給大哥。
「我把老人家現在貧病交迫的模樣拍下來，寄給他的8名子女看，還是沒人理啊」！
安養中心的發言人搖頭歎息說： 「虧他們都是博士咧，書不知道讀到哪裡去了，連最基本的孝道都沒有」！
這則新聞播出後，我持續關注老人的情況。
安養中心發言人告訴我，8名子女依舊沒消息。
眼看一個月的期限就快到了，老人在某個夜裡，在睡夢中，悄無聲息地，走了。
老爸爸即使神智不清、一直處於昏睡的情況下，彷彿知道有這一個月的期限。他不愛麻煩子女，一直到他走的那一刻，始終如此。
老人走了，安養中心把消息告知8位子女，「每個人只跟我說『知道了』，就掛電話了」，安養中心最後自掏腰包，簡單處理老人的後事。

阿祥不是讓老爸引以為傲的兒子，他是讓做水泥工的….老爸擔心掛念一輩子的喜憨兒。
「他媽媽走得早，要是我也走了，他一個人怎麼辦？誰來照顧他」？
阿祥的父親是肺癌四期患者，靠著化療延續生命。
每次老爸到醫院打化療，阿祥總是笑咪咪地跟爸爸手牽手，到住院處辦理報到手續。
阿祥是個孝順的孩子。
老爸打完化療身體虛弱，他會倒水給老爸喝。
醫院送餐過來，他先餵爸爸吃飯，等爸爸吃好了，他開心地打開便當，大口大口吃，抬頭對爸爸笑。
在阿祥臉上，看不到悲傷。
彷彿這世間的苦難，都與他無關。
醫師看了阿祥爸爸最新的檢查報告，腫瘤變大了，老爸的生命，進入倒數計時。
當醫師告訴阿祥爸爸檢查結果，爸爸沉默了，凝視著身旁的阿祥；阿祥看著爸爸，露出他招牌天真的笑容。
人世間的生老病死、悲歡離合、還有那些複雜的慾望，都影響不了這個孩子。單純的他，眼中只有爸爸，看到爸爸，他就開心。
