貪心好比一個套結，把人的心越套越緊，結果把理智閉塞了。
的確如此，正如諺語所言：貪心不足蛇吞象。
做人不能太貪心，太貪心，就會什麼都得不到。
有一個漁夫貪圖省事，織的網只有一張桌子那麼大。
結果他出海一天也沒有捕到一條魚，垂頭喪氣地回到了家。
鄰居對他說：“你織的網太小了，哪裡能捕到魚，還是把網織得大一點再出海捕魚吧。”
漁夫聽了鄰居的話，就認真地在家織網。
幾天下來，把網織得和鄰居的網一樣大。
漁夫帶著他的大網出海捕魚，一天下來，就捕到了很多魚。
他唱著歌高高興興地回了家。
但漁夫想，看來，捕魚多少的關鍵是網的大小，如果我把網織得更大，那捕到的魚一定還要多。
結果漁夫不再出海捕魚，一天接一天在家織網。
幾天後，他把原來就很大的網又擴大了好幾倍。
巨網織好後，漁夫就帶著它出海捕魚去了。
他花了好大的功夫才把巨網撒入大海。
漁夫想，只要這網收起來，魚一定可以裝滿一船，想著想著，他樂得笑出了聲。
過了一陣子，漁夫準備收網了，一拉網，覺得好沉好沉，拉了半天也拉不上來。
網中確實有許多魚，魚兒拼命地向大海深處遊去，且把漁夫的小船也拉得翻了身。
凡人，若是總是活在貪婪中，任由貪念放縱，總是想得到更多，殊不知，最後往往失去了更多。可見，人在世間，貪得無厭，往往會得到相反的結果。反
反而懂得知足的人會得到快樂，懂得放下的人會得到輕鬆。
