這是一個真實的故事—-
百年前的某天下午，在英國一個鄉村的田野裡，一位貧困的農民正在勞作。
忽然，他聽到遠處傳來了呼救的聲音，原來有一名少年不幸落水了。
農民不假思索，奮不顧身地跳入水中救人。
最後這孩子得救了。
後來，大家才知道，這個獲救的孩子是一個貴族公子。
幾天後，老貴族親自帶著禮物登門感謝，農民卻拒絕了這份厚禮。
在他看來，當時救人只是出於自己的良心，自己並不能因為對方出身高貴就貪戀別人的財物。
故事到這兒並沒有結束—-
老貴族因為敬佩農民的善良與高尚，感念他的恩德，於是，決定資助農民的兒子到倫敦去接受高等教育。
農民接受了這份饋贈，能讓自己的孩子受到良好的教育是他多年來的夢想。
農民很快樂，因為他的兒子終於有了走進外面世界、改變自己命運的機會；老貴族也很快樂，因為他終於為自己的恩人完成了夢想。
多年後，農民的兒子從倫敦聖瑪麗醫學院畢業了，他品學兼優，後來被英國皇家授勳封爵，並獲得1945年的諾貝爾醫學獎。
他就是亞歷山大•弗萊明，青黴素的發明者。
那名貴族公子也長大了，在第二次世界大戰期間患上了嚴重的肺炎，
但幸運的是，依靠青黴素，他很快就痊癒了。
這名貴族公子就是英國首相邱吉爾。
農民與貴族，都在別人需要幫助的時候伸出了援手，卻為他們自己的後代、甚至國家播下了善種。
人的一生往往會發生很多不可思議的事情，有時候，我們幫助別人或感恩別人，卻可能冥冥之中有輪迴。
