曾經有一場二手貨拍賣會。拍賣商走到一把小提琴旁— 一把看起來非常舊、非常破、樣子磨損得非常厲害的小提琴。
拍賣商拿起小提琴，撥了一下琴弦，結果發出的聲音跑調了，難聽得要命。
他看著這把又舊、又髒的小提琴，皺著眉頭、毫無熱情地開始出價，10美元，沒人接手。他把價格降到5元，還是沒有反應。
他繼續降價，一直降到0.5元。
他說：「0.5元，只有0.5元。我知道它值不了多少錢，可只要花5毛錢就能把它拿走！」
就在這時，一位頭髮花白、留著長長的白鬍子的老頭走到前面來，問他能否看看這把琴。
他拿出手絹，把灰塵和髒痕從琴上擦去，老者慢慢撥動著琴弦，一絲不苟地給每一根弦調音。
然後他把這只破舊的小提琴放到下巴上，開始演奏。
從這把琴上奏出的音樂，是現場許多人聽過的最美的音樂。
美妙的樂曲和旋律從這把破舊的小提琴上流淌出來。
拍賣商又問起價是多少。
一個人說100元，另一個人說200元，然後價格就一直上升，直到最後以1000元成交。
為什麼有人肯花1000元買了一把破舊的、曾經5毛錢都沒人買的小提琴？因為它已經被調准了音，能夠被彈出優美的樂曲。
關鍵在於音準，加上一個懂彈奏的人。
如同一匹千里馬，若在農夫手裡，牠不過是匹拉貨的馬，反之，但在將軍手中，牠將變成一匹所向披敵的戰馬。
好馬，也需要有識貨的伯樂，才不會埋沒它真正的價值。
但是，一個人就像一把小提琴，你的心態好比琴弦，要先調整好心態（音準），別人（伯樂）才會正視你的價值！
