在美國紐約西市大街一處跳蚤市場，有許多擺地攤的人，大多數是生活在社會底層的窮人，他們專門出售一些物美價廉的小商品。
在這兒擺地攤的，有一位年近古稀的老人，名叫羅奈爾得•威恩，他在這兒擺地攤已有許多年頭了，許多人都認識這位慈祥、和藹的老人，人們親切稱他為“威恩大叔”。
威恩大叔雖然只是一個擺地攤的，但是他十分重視自己的儀表。
每天擺地攤時，他都要西裝革履，還要戴上一頂棒球帽，給人一種灑脫、精明的樣子。
他每天在地攤上出售各種郵票、錢幣……等，常常還會興致勃勃扡向顧客介紹起上面國家的風土人情、地理地貌。他的這種行銷方式，令人耳目一新。
蘋果總裁賈伯斯生前也是老人地攤前的一名老主顧。得知賈伯斯喜歡中國的郵票，老人就經常將自己收購來的中國郵票賣給賈伯斯。日積月累，賈伯斯收藏的中國郵票琳琅滿目。
賈伯斯常對老人說：“謝謝您！是您向我打開了一扇通往中國的視窗，我看到了蘋果品牌進入中國市場的廣闊前景。”
威恩老人則說：“您的目光總是那麼敏銳，蘋果公司能有今天的發展，與您敏銳的市場眼光是分不開的。而我的目光卻是那麼的短淺，只看到眼前的那一點點利益。”
賈伯斯勸慰道，您不要悲傷，在這個社會上，每一個人的生存方式不同，只要靠自己的勤奮和努力，擺地攤也是一種人生呀！

誰也不知道，大名鼎鼎的超級億萬大富豪賈伯斯，和這個身份卑微擺地攤的老人之間，尚有一段鮮為人知的故事………。
在出席賈伯斯的追思會上，老人也來參加了。
看到老人，許多人竊竊私語，他不是擺地攤的嗎？他來幹什麼？
要知道，來參加賈伯斯追思會的，大多數是商界巨賈、社會名流。
老人面色凝重地向來賓們說了這樣一個故事。
他說，我和賈伯斯有30多年的友情了。
35年前，我與賈伯斯等3人創辦了蘋果公司。
公司運作後，遇到很多困難，我一度看不到公司的發展前途，就要求退出蘋果公司。
賈伯斯苦口婆心勸說我不要退出，他說困難只是暫時的，眼光要看遠點，將來會有很大發展的。
可是，面對當時蘋果公司的困境，我心灰意冷。
最後，我以2300美元賣掉了擁有蘋果公司10%的股權，徹底離開了蘋果公司。
幾十年來，我做過很多事，開過店、辦過廠，還當過水手，可結果都一事無成，最後只得靠擺地攤維持著生計。
如今，當年我那些以800美元賣掉的股份已價值350億美元。
聽了威恩老人的故事，各界人士不禁唏噓不已。
沒想到，這個毫不起眼擺地攤的老人，竟是當年與賈伯斯共同創業的人。
如果，他當初不是將那10%的股權賣掉，那麼他現在可就是超級億萬大富豪了。
美國《紐約時報》在報導這件事中，寫了這樣一段話，讓人回味無窮：
我們常常聽到有人感歎命運的不公，老天待我不公。
其實，我們每個人的一生中都面臨著各種選擇。
越是在困難和挫折中，越能考驗一個人。

羅納德•韋恩：被遺忘的蘋果創始人，一段350億美金變成2300元的故事，如今 79 歲的羅恩住在內華達州拉斯維加斯附近的一棟移動房，再也沒有人記起這個曾經的蘋果創始人。
如果他繼續持有這 10% 的股份，如今這將是一筆 350 億美元的鉅款。
當蘋果成為科技界閃耀的明珠，當辭世的賈伯斯和沃茲尼亞克屢屢見諸報端，羅納德•韋恩（Ronald Gerald Wayne）— 這個蘋果第三位聯合創始人的名字已經被世人日漸淡忘。
羅納德•韋恩實際上對促成蘋果公司的創立擁有至關重要的作用。
據賈伯斯傳的記載，蘋果公司創立之前，沃茲尼克尚未決定全身心投入蘋果，於是賈伯斯便找來了朋友羅納德•韋恩。
