有一天，孔子的一個學生在門外掃地，來了一個客人。
客人問他：“你是誰啊？”
這個學生很自豪地說：“我是孔先生的弟子！”
客人就說：“那太好了，我能不能請教你一個問題？”
學生很高興的說：“可以啊！”
但他心想：你大概要出什麼奇怪的問題吧？
客人卻問：“一年到底有幾季啊？”
學生心想：“這種問題還要問嗎？”
於是便肯定回答道：“有春、夏、秋、冬四季。”
客人搖搖頭說：“不對，一年只有三季。”
學生堅持道：“哎，你搞錯了，四季！”
客人堅持道：“三季！”
最後兩個人爭執不下，就決定打賭：“如果是四季，客人向學生磕三個頭。如果是三季，學生向客人磕三個頭。”
孔子的學生心想自己這次贏定了，於是准備帶客人去見老師孔子。
正巧這是孔子從屋裡走出來，學生上前問道：“老師，一年有幾季啊？”
孔子看了一眼客人，說：“一年有三季。”
這個學生快嚇昏了，可是他不敢馬上問。
客人馬上說：“磕頭、磕頭！”
學生沒辦法，只好乖乖磕了三個頭。
客人走了以後，學生迫不及待地問孔子：“老師，一年明明有四季，您怎麼說三季呢？”
孔子說：“你沒看到剛才那個人全身都是綠色的嗎？他是螞蚱，螞蚱春天生，秋天就死了，他從來沒見過冬天，你講三季他會滿意，你講四季吵到晚上都講不通。你吃虧，磕三個頭，無所謂。”
這個故事不管真假，其隱寓對我們非常管用。
這故事告訴我們：
以後對任何人、任何事，當你要發脾氣時，當你情緒很不穩定的時候，你就想那是“三季人”，是“三季人”做的事，馬上就會心平氣和了。
這個世界上“三季人”太多了。
怪不得《莊子》說：“夏蟲不可以語冰”。
你跟夏天的蟲講什麼冰？那是你糊塗。
看懂這個故事後，你會變得很開心，以後碰到那些不講理的人，你心想那是“三季人”，就不往心裡去了，你也不會生氣了……
