一個婦人給全家人煎薄餅吃，她總是多煎一個，留給飢餓的路人。
她將多餘的薄餅放到窗台外邊，憑誰路過自取。
每天，一個駝背老漢都來取走它。但，他不僅不感恩，還會在離開時自言自語底咕噥：「所做之惡，留在身邊，所做之善，回到身邊。」
這樣日復一日，駝背老漢拿了薄餅，嘟囔著“所做之惡，留在身邊，所做之善，回到身邊。”就離開了。
婦人有些惱火。
「連個謝字都沒有！這老駝背每天哼嘰著這些，他到底是什麼意思？！」她自言自語道。
終於有一天，她怒火中燒，決心擺脫他。
“看來我必須徹底甩掉這個老駝背”。
然後她做了什麼？她在薄餅裡下了毒！
就在她準備把薄餅放到窗台上時，她的手開始發抖。
「我這是在做什麼？」她立刻將薄餅投到火裡燒掉，重新做了一張，放到窗台上。
駝背老漢如常來到，如常取走了餅，如常哼到：「所做之惡，存留身邊，所做之善，回到身邊。」
他這樣做的時候，十分地快活，根本沒有意識到婦人腦海裡翻江倒海的掙扎。
其實，每次婦人將薄餅放在窗台時，她都會獻上一個祈禱——－為她在遠方謀生的兒子。
兒子一連幾個月音信全無，她祈禱兒子能平安歸來。
那天晚上，有扣門聲。
打開門，她驚奇地發現兒子站在門廊。
兒子很瘦，衣服像碎布條似的，他餓壞了，虛弱不堪。
看見母親，他說到：「媽，我能站在這裡是個奇蹟。在離家一里遠的地方，我餓得昏倒在地。我肯定是要死了。這時，一個駝背老人路過。我求他給我一小塊能吃的東西，哪怕是些碎屑。他好心地給了我一整張薄餅！給我餅時，他說：“這是我每天的食物，今天我把它給你，因為你更需要它。”」
聽到這裡，婦人臉色蒼白，她靠在門上，支撐住自己，想到了早上她做的那張下了毒的薄餅。如果她沒有投到火裡燒掉，那麼吃掉毒餅的就是她的兒子。兒子必死無疑。
直到這時，她才明白了這些字的含義：「所做之惡，留在身邊，所做之善，回到身邊。」
這個故事的寓意是：
不要在讚賞或悅納。

Wow that was unusual. I just wrote an incredibly long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Regardless, just wanted to say fantastic blog!
