情緒就像一條河

一個科學家早上起床沒找到拖鞋，有點惱火。
當時他沒注意到自己在生氣，他就去衛生間洗漱。
這時候生氣一直在自己內心生長，當他刮鬍子，不小心剃鬚刀掉地上了，撿起來不小心又掉了，他心情更糟。
但他不能對剃鬚刀發脾氣啊，他走出來衛生間，聽到小孩昨天的作業沒有做完，於是他大發雷霆，打了小孩一巴掌。
他老婆覺得他莫名其妙，於是他們吵了起來。
科學家摔門而出，開車上班去辦公室。
但最後他在路上出車禍了……。
而這整個事情的起因，居然是因為早上沒有找到拖鞋！
實際上，如果他當時觀察到自己的情緒，就不會為一雙拖鞋而生氣；剃鬚刀掉了，如果當時能觀察到自己的情緒，也不會為一把剃鬚刀生氣；當然也犯不上因為小孩子沒寫完作業就打他一巴掌。
事實上，情緒就像一條河流，一個小念頭接著一個小念頭，在持續積累往前走。
如果你能觀察到自己情緒的變化，及時處理，後面的事情都不會發生。而且發現的越早，自己越有能力處理。越晚發現，情緒會積累的越厲害。當小溪彙聚成大河，力量就勢不可擋。
想要管理情緒，要先靠觀察。只要自己能察覺到情緒，並懂得怎樣讓情緒宣洩起來，自由來去，我們自然可以維持情緒順暢平和了。
只要你一開始就觀察到了自己的情緒，每次情緒起來的時候，當下就能平復，還有什麼好煩躁的呢？
所以，情緒就是一條河，如果沒有及時觀察，這條河流會彙聚越來越多的小溪流，越來越大。河流平時很平靜，但一旦爆發，力量無法控制。
